Habibi Sport’s Shahada Karim Interviewed on Another Door Opens Podcast

Wellness expert Shahada Karim, creator of health-focused Habibi Body Sport and Habibi Bath & Body, is the featured interview guest on Another Door Opens podcast with Stephanie Himango, available now at Apple Podcasts.

The episode, “On Balance, Imbalance & Consequence”, Karim discusses her relationship with health, wellness and yoga… why openness is the gateway to growth… and why letting go leads to peace of mind.

“My catalyst happened in on of my first teacher trainings. The guide asked us: ‘Do you want to be right or do you want to be free?’ And I never forgot it. It began my journey from the inside out.”

“I stopped trying to think about all the things around me that were so wrong that I wanted to be right. What I learned is that it doesn’t matter… (instead) it matters the work that you do on the inside.”

Karim acknowledges external causes of stress and anger, but says it’s our response to those things that matters. “I thought that by teaching yoga, I could make the world better. But what I learned is that by teaching myself to breathe and center, I can make the world a better place… because I am part of the world. If I can make me better, then by design I can improve the environment that I am in.”
