DomCon Virtual New Orleans Draws New International Crowd

DomCon Virtual New Orleans, the professional and lifestyle domination convention drew a new crowd of online guests from around the world. Attending were BDSM enthusiasts, professional Dominants and submissives, sex educators and those curious about the kinky lifestyle.

The major difference with being online this year was direct access to the stimulating personalities who make DomCon successful. Event producer and founder Mistress Cyan was often available in the lobby, and present at the parties and socials. Mistresses of Ceremonies Mia Darkque and MsMadyson attended in costume. Madame Margherite and Sea popped in often to check in and contribute to the ongoing enthusiasm in the video chat rooms.

Interactive classes and workshops were a significant draw for this year’s exposition. Traditionally, attendees move on after a workshop to make room for the next presenter. Instead, this year’s guests tended to stay on longer for more detailed discussions, making for a greater value. Domina Carmilla from Mexico presented a seminar on mental health and wellness for professional dominants. Miss Foxx from the UK led the “Colorfully Into BDSM” panel sharing experiences of People of Color in kinky culture. Anne O Nomis from Australia drew great praise for her “History of the Dominatrix” presentation.

Mistress MsMadyson also noted “Lady Linni and Madame Rose’s class on traveling sex work was profound. I learned so very much from that class, and I have been a travelling Mistress for many years now. It was really good to listen in, hear their experiences and the things they have done as travelling professionals. Especially in some of the places I didn’t even think of, because I didn’t think I would get business there. It was their first time teaching a class, they did very well.”

There’s always something new to see in the vendor area. Leather By Danny and Deviant Leather always draw a crowd with their custom leather wear and bondage gear. MadCo Creations, showed off their sassy designs and the official t-shirts for the show. Liquid Red Design displayed the latest in elastic intimate wear harnesses, latex jewelry, and unique clubwear. C Lou Darker Creations debuted the new “Beast Whiskers” flogger line and her glow in the dark floggers, along with handmade jewelry.

Dr. Susan Block offered a broadcast of “Ask Dr. Suzy: Speakeasy at the Big Easy” for DomCon guests. Joining her were Goddess Phoenix, Siren St. Sin, Goddess Lilith, and Mistress Porcelain Midnight to discuss sexual topics like cross dressing, voyeurism, and tantric sex. Block ended her show with a Halloween exorcism aimed at the White House, destroying a pumpkin effigy of America’s 45th president.

DomCon’s first Halloween Fetish Ball featured Miss Cassie and Eve performing a “Cats” themed rope bondage suspension on the main stage. Madame Rose, Lady Remedy Ann Fetish, Sir Ezra and Queen Ana Algos provided additional live performances through the night. The evening finished with DomCon Founder Mistress Cyan using her single tail whip to bring Lady Remedy Ann Fetish to orgasm.
