Sofia Rose is collaborating with performers and activists Eliza Allure, Amberly Rothfield and The Cupcake Girls to launch The Empowerment Fund to support minority sex workers and causes such as Black Lives Matter (BLM).
The BBW megastar will also be self-shooting a brand-new scene for Brazzers this week, and will be donating 100% of her paycheck proceeds to these organizations in the fight against anti-black racism while helping fund her fellow performers during COVID-19 lockdown.
“I feel a lot of us have become comfortable and, by default, involuntarily complacent when it comes to racism and minority communities,” said Rose. “Coming from a low-income single parent home, I know the struggles and often offer my own support to marginalized and survival sex workers.
Outside of monetary donation, Rose is also committing to personally supporting local minority businesses and steering away from large corporations that do not support minorities and marginalized communities.
“Anyone can make noise on social media, but so few act in ways that propel change… it is important to back up words with solid action, which is why I am donating and helping in any way I can,” added Rose. “I don’t usually like to discuss charity publicly; however, given the current social climate, I’m hoping it challenges others in the industry to do the same.”
The funds raised through The Empowerment Fund will help with rent assistance, healthcare, groceries and legal aid, with unfettered access to any resources and means they may need to survive and thrive during these uncertain times.
