Bloomer Yang Writes, Directs & Stars in New Delphine Films Comedic Series About Life on a Porn Set

 Taiwanese-born award-winning adult film director Bloomer Yang’s latest Delphine Films series debuts tonight. “Behind the Scenes” is a comedic look at what it’s like to be on a porn set with the cast and crew. Oliver stars as himself (a director), wrote the script, and directs.

Delphine Films’ “Behind the Scenes” is a six-part series with an all-star cast. Lulu Chu is the assistant director who’s angry because everyone on set is out of control; Bloomer has rewritten the script, slutty production assistant Charlie Forde thinks she’s a Hooter’s waitress, gaffer Tommy Pistol and director of photography Will Pounder are both silly and love to make the AD crazy, male talent Nathan Bronson is late, social media manager Maddy May loves to do extended interviews with the cast, makeup artist Kenna James and sound guy David Lee get caught fucking behind the scenes instead of working, and female talent Jane Wilde is just really out there. With all this madness, will the porno be finished on time? Since the shooting schedule is running behind, the AD wants to scrap all the social media, but Maddy and Tommy have a solution that leads to a steamy scene…yes, they hook up.

“People are always asking me what it’s like on set, and this is BTS with a heavy comedic twist. I love playing myself and all the quirky characters in this series. Plus, I directed it and used my talent as a comedian by writing the script. Whether you’ve ever been on a porn set or not, you’ll love this series. Taiwanese-born adult film director Bloomer Yang is one of the biggest rising stars on the director front. With over 50 scenes filmed for Model Media USA’s studio Delphine Films delphinefilms.com, his standout films feature great storytelling and passionate sex scenes with three-dimensional characters that he writes and directs. His goal is not just to get the viewer off but also to get a reaction that might even include tears or laughter. Classically trained, Bloomer holds a Masters in Screenwriting and a bachelor’s in film production. In 2022, he was nominated for a pair of Fleshbot Awards nominations for Movie of the Year and Best Oral Sex Scene, which he took home the trophy for. The AVN Awards also nommed him for his Best Directing Portfolio – Narrative, scene work, and Mainstream Venture of the Year for his stand-up comedy as Oliver Wong. The XBIZ Awards also nommed him for Director of the Year – Feature and an additional eight noms for his scene work.

Bloomer is a man of many talents, including his comedy career under the name Oliver Wong. In 2018 after graduate school ended, he had a dead-end job and visa issues. Looking for an outlet to express his feelings, he stepped onto the stage of Flappers Comedy Club for his first show, and the rest is history. Like most comedians, his style is a cross between self-deprecating and observational. He uses being Asian, a gay man, an immigrant, his HIV Positive status, and his career as an adult film director as fodder for his comedy. His comedic influences include Ali Wong, John Mulaney, and Iliza Shlesinger.

Oliver is a podcaster who started out with a show called the Get Intimate Podcast, where he interviewed everyone from actors to nerds.
