Sex educator/researcher Dr. Zhana Vrangalova was the featured guest on Dan Savage’s ‘Savage Love’ podcast, discussing the sexual phenomenon known as female ejaculation, a.k.a. ‘squirting’.

“Squirting is really having its moment,” says Vrangalova, a NYU sexuality professor, nonmonogamy relationship coach and ‘Science of Sex’ podcast host in the interview, adding that “It’s one of the most common questions I get… both men and women are interested in learning how to squirt or make their partners squirt.”

‘Dr. Zhana’, as she is known, talks about her squirting course with Kenneth Play, the ‘sex hacker’ who Vrangalova calls “a master of squirting… we’ve created an online course that people can download and watch on their own” to learn the techniques for how to help their partners squirt.

She describes the scientific, yet still unknown, facets of squirting: “there really has been very little research on this,” said Vrangalova, describing the two different types of ejaculation in women, and Play’s emphasis on muscle control and ‘voluntary’ and ‘involuntary’ squirting.

“People can have a level of control over their PC muscles – when to bear down or not bear down if you provide the right kind of stimulation to the G-spot you can get that liquid out, but also you can develop over time the control how much of when you want to let it out or not let it out.”
